About Terrance Lamont
RAPPER | FOUNDER OF A.B.E
Terrance Lamont is a hip-hop artist rooted in authenticity, lyricism, and purpose. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and raised between the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey, his upbringing exposed him to two distinct worlds—each shaping his sound and giving him a dynamic perspective that fuels his art.
His name isn’t just a stage name—it’s his real first and middle name, chosen after cycling through countless aliases that never truly fit. Terrance Lamont stuck because it is him: real, raw, and genuine. Ironically, it helped him embrace a middle name he once disliked and wear it with pride. With a musical lineage running through his family—his mother a singer and his aunt a rapper—Terrance was immersed in rhythm and wordplay from a young age.
Inspired early by legends like Eric B. & Rakim, Slick Rick, and Lauryn Hill, and later moved by the raw emotion of artists like 2Pac, DMX, and 50 Cent, his style balances sharp lyricism with deep soul and storytelling. Though he started writing freestyles and recording songs as a teen, it wasn’t until a pivotal moment in Atlanta that he transitioned from pen and pad to pure feeling— freestyling his verses based on the emotion of the beat. That shift opened up a new creative process, one that honors honesty over perfection. He’s also a producer with a keen ear, and although he stepped back after losing a vault of 500 beats, the passion to create sound hasn’t left him.
Terrance’s music is laced with honesty, vulnerability, and intention. Whether he’s telling his story or voicing the pain and dreams of others, every bar serves a purpose. He’s deeply spiritual, giving credit to The Most High for his gift and using that gift to uplift and inspire.
His 2020 EP Until Further Notice showcases his range, while his current collaboration with cousin and singer Sean Ray, titled Sincerely Yours, promises to be a heartfelt blend of rap and soul. With each release, Terrance proves he’s not here to mimic or follow trends—he’s here to move people. Every track carries substance, originality, and the unmistakable signature of an artist who means every word.
